Year 3W - Miss Wade

Our Year So Far...

P.E. will now be on a Monday afternoon and the children will be doing gymnastics. Please ensure both outdoor and indoor kit is provided as the weather is very unpredictable and we may do extra sessions (not gymnastics) outside. Please ensure children bring a water bottle in every day so they can stay hydrated throughout the school day.

Children are reminded every morning to change their own reading books (if they have finished reading them at home) and this is their responsibility. I encourage you to read every night with your child, even if it is a couple of pages, as this can have a huge impact upon their learning. Please write a comment and sign homework diaries when you have read with your child.

Homework is given out every Wednesday and is due in the following Monday. Children are also given a spelling/handwriting sheet to practise their weekly spellings on which is to be handed in the following Tuesday. Homework given is also recorded in children’s homework diaries, along with their weekly spellings. These should be signed weekly so that children can check which homework page needs doing and which spellings they have correctly spelt in the weekly spelling test. If there are any questions about the maths and English homework set, please do not hesitate to come and see me.

Extra Learning at Home

If children would like extra homework and have access to a computer, then they are welcome to use the DB Learning Platform to play a variety of games to enhance learning. They have their own username and password to access this. If you would like more help with this, please come and see me.

The children also have access to Active Learn, which is a maths program to play maths games on. Chiildren have their own username and password for this as well.
