Year 4

Mr Frank

Miss Hobson

Our friendly Year 4 class is hard working and love to take on new challenges. We like to impress our teacher and teaching assistants by trying our best and being independent learners. Each challenge we will succeed in will make us more confident and prepares us for the next steps of our school life.

Please read below for some important reminders for this half term.

Homework
This year. Homework will be handed out on a Wednesday and collected in the following Monday. Spellings will be handed out with homework and tested the following Wednesday. Please continue to support your children with their daily reading at home.

P.E.
P.E is on a Tuesday. Please ensure that both indoor and outdoor P.E kits are in school (British weather can be very fickle).

Indoor kit: White top, red shorts and plimsoll shoes.

Outdoor kit: White top, red shorts and trainers. Children are allowed to wear a pair of long joggers for outdoor P.E.

Electricity and Switches

In science, we are coming to the end of our topic; electricity. In one of our final lessons, we looked at how switches worked. After investigating some real switches and identifying how they functioned, we created our own! Some of us managed to create some switches from just some cardboard, a paperclip and two split pins! (Very clever)
