Our class teacher is Miss Wade and teaching assistant is Mrs Livingston (who works with us Monday to Thursday).
We are working very hard in Year3/4 and have adjusted to our mixed class. We love learning new things and showing our independence with work.

Homework is handed out every Wednesday and must be returned the following Monday.
Homework consists of spellings, times tables and reading. Children will be tested on their times tables and will move onto the next set when they achieve a score of 20 or more.
Spellings also take place every Wednesday. We receive a new spelling sheet after our spelling test to hand in the following Monday, and our spellings are written in our school homework diary to practice the night before if needed.
Reading books are sent home every night and need to be in school every day so we can also be listened to by our teacher. There is a space provided in our reading diaries for you to comment on and to confirm that we have also been listened to at home! We require children to read at home to an adult at least 3 times per week. This will be checked every Wednesday.
Keep up to date with events via our class page and newsletters.
Thank you for visiting.
Super school trip to the Transporter Bridge…
During Spring Term, we learnt all about the River Tees and were lucky to go on a very snowy field trip to Teesmouth Field Centre and the Transporter Bridge. We learned all about the River Tees and got to recreate this on the beach at Teesmouth.
Celebrating World Book Week…
In order to celebrate world book day we carried out lots of fun reading activities, had a class trip to the library to take our own books out and dressed up as our favourite book characters.
Lent Stay and Pray
We thoroughly enjoyed planning and leading our own whole class Collective Worship and inviting our loved ones. We were very reverent in retelling the Stations of the Cross and are enjoying our journey through Lent.
Let there be light…
We have been learning about electricity and making our own electrical circuits. We even made our own switches!
We love Godly Play…
Throughout the year we have been lucky enough to have Mrs Boyes to lead us in a Godly Play session where we gather in the Chapel and listen to a story from the Bible. We are then able to choose an area to carry out an activity relating to the story we have heard. Before leaving, we gather together for a feast and offer up our prayers to Our Father.
Exploring the Amazon Rainforest
We learnt lots about the Amazon Rainforest during Autumn Term. We created non-chronological reports and wrote our own stories about crashing in the Amazon. We also got to meet a real live snake!
We have been sorting shapes into Venn and Carroll diagrams. We even made a human Carroll diagram in PE! See if you can work out how we organised ourselves…
We Are Scientists
We have been learning about states of matter in Science.
