Foundation Stage 2H
Welcome to Foundation Stage 2H. We are one of 2 FS2 classes. Our teacher is Mrs Heerin and Mrs Burns is our Teaching Assistant. Our PE day is a Tuesday so please make sure PE kits are in school every Monday. Most PE kits are now labelled but please make sure uniform is also clearly labelled. Children should bring a book bag to school every day and a clear bottle of water. Please make sure every item of clothing is labelled with your child’s full name.
This terms topic is ‘Spring has Sprung’. We will be reading lots of fun texts including Oliver’s Vegetables, Hungry Caterpillar, Mr Wolf’s Pancakes, What the Ladybird Heard and Grandfathers Farm. This will be a lovely topic where will we be looking at growth and new life.
If you haven’t already downloaded the Marvellous Me app, please ask a member of the team. We send home lots of notes and messages to inform you of your child’s learning. We award your child badges and children really feel proud of themselves when they receive a Marvellous Me message home.

As part of our ‘Helping Hands’ topic, Foundation Stage had a visit from Thornaby fire station. Firefighters spoke to us about all the things they are to do to keep us safe. We all went out to see the fire engine and even got to spray the fire hose.
We love exercising on the Trim Trail
We made poison apples, bonfire pictures and made potions for Halloween
Raising money for Children in Need with an own clothes day. We made Pudsey pictures and iced Pudsey biscuits
We started our year with ‘Happy Week’. We took part in lots of fun activities including a foam disco, water balloons, bubble blowing and muddy footprints.
